Frequently Asked Questions

  • How long will it take to build my shed?

Like anything, it depends. We have a process at State Wide Sheds - we want you in your new shed as quickly as what you do!

Depending on constraints such as workload and weather, you could be utilising your new shed in as quickly as 8 weeks.

  • Can you customise my shed to suit my needs?

Yes! Absolutely. In fact, around 50% of our projects are custom built to our customer’s requirements. We liaise with the client and ask all the right questions - What are you using your shed for? What dimensions are you needing? What are you storing? Our experienced sales team will then liaise with our designers to customise your new shed.

  • How far will you travel?

State Wide Sheds will go anywhere! We have delivered and erected in all States and Territories in Australia. Don’t let the name fool you - if you need a shed, we can get it to you!

  • What’s the difference between structural steel and purlin frame shed?

Purlin frame sheds are lighter weight and more suitable for small, residential purposes.

Structural steel, on the other hand, uses fabricated, universal beams and open-web trusses more suitable for rural and industrial applications. They allow for larger spans and base sizes.

At State Wide Sheds, we ONLY use structural steel - we find it stands the test of time and is designed for bigger sheds.

  • Why should I choose State Wide Sheds for my next project?

    Where do we begin!

State Wide Sheds have been the trusted choice for farming families for the last four decades.

We use structural steel, ensuring your shed is built strong and stands the test of time.

Our internal processes and quick turn around means you’ll be in your new shed before you know it.

State Wide Sheds utilise Australian steel products when building our structures; all cladding and purlins are produced right here in Australia.

  • Can I erect the shed myself?

Yes you certainly can. We supply all the necessary material for you to assemble and erect your shed. Everything from the foundation bolts to the teks for fixing the cladding. We also provide you with a foundation layout plan. And, of course, we’re only a phone call away should you want us to answer any questions you have about building your shed.
